The future of ToneFest is quite simple, as long as it remains enjoyable to organise and run and as long as people keep buying tickets and supporting it, then long may it continue. I suppose it depends on who gets bored first!

The 'masterplan' remains pretty much the same as it always has. Keep it small, keep it simple and allow people to be exposed to just the right amount of excellent music from all corners of the UK and beyond, be given space to relax and enjoy the surroundings and make the entertainment as varied as possible.

Sizewise, I am determined to keep it as small as possible but not too small it lacks maximum atmosphere and vibe. I have learnt that vibe has very little to do with the organisation, but the people that come along. My job as an organiser is to book the bands that create an arena for people to let their hair down and have a good time. If everyone is having a good time, it is them that create an unforgetable and very enjoyable time. I have also learnt that when people arrive on the Friday, they don't want to sit down and take it all too seriously. Fancy dress Friday and a line up of good fun/upbeat acts kick starts the festival perfectly. Saturday afternoon is for a gentle relaxed feel, while everyone nurses sore heads!

I would like to involve more arts, poetry and activities that are hands on in the future as well as tweek stages and try little changes here and there. The feedback I receive from festival goers is to keep everything pretty much the same but we'll see what the feedback is of the little changes planned.

So onwards and upwards and let's enjoy many many more weekends together :-)
